Como se había anunciado, hoy se ha dado a conocer el segundo single oficial del álbum "4" de Beyoncé, después del fracaso comercial definitivo de "Run The World (Girls)". El nuevo paso es hacia atrás, ya que "Best Thing I Never Had" es una balada de corte eurovisivo con bastante menos chicha que "1+1" (“best new music” en Pitchfork entre citas a Prince y Sam Cooke) que, a pesar de todo, quizá guste a un número mayor de público que las producciones de Major Lazer. After releasing the project's Major Lazer-sampled lead single "Run the World (Girls)", the pop star unveiled her power ballad "1+1" on the finale of "American Idol" and is now set to release "Best Thing I Never Had" on Wednesday.
