Conocida antes como Jessie Malakouti, con el cuál lanzó algunos sencillos, llegó a ser más conocida por una pequeña controversia hace algunos años ya que su sencillo "Trash Me" tiene un innegable sonido bastante similar a "If U Seek Amy" de Britney Spears, siendo los productores y compositores de la última acusados de plagio, pero después todo este rollo fue aclarado. Ahora se presenta bajo el nombre de Jessie and the Toy Boys (siendo los Toy Boys unos Maniquíes que siempre la acompañan). "Show Me Your Tan Lines" es el EP que nos presenta y es una colección de 5 temas pop, divertidos, para bailar en la disco y perfectos para el verano. Este EP es una mezcla de sonidos electro-pop y dance que se sienten en su sencillo promocional Push it, un fuerte sonido pop cargado en la canción Valentine y Summer Boy que es el tema que mas sobresale de la lista acompañado de un coro pegajoso al ritmo de un "Uuhh" mientras le pide a un chico que sea su amor de verano. Para los amantes del pop bailable esta es una muy buena opción, es sin duda divertido y nos deja deseando escuchar un poco más. Actualmente Jessie and the Toy Boys hace parte de los teloneros de la gira Femme Fatale Tour de Britney Spears que comienzo el pasado 16 de junio.

Jessie & The Toys Boys is on a roll. After making her TV debut last week on Conan O'Brien's late show and prepping for her opening slot on Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour, Jessie Malakouti released her debut EP "Show Me Your Tanlines" on iTunes this week. The rising success of the singer has been long in the making and sure didn't happen overnight. After some failed label deals and a songwriting stint with Xenomania in London, the Los Angeles artist is now finally in reach of true mainstream success that she has been working so hard on to achieve.

"Show Me Your Tanlines" gives pop fans a better idea of her fun, flirty and forward pop sound while she's still coming into her own as a pop artist. Stand out tracks on this EP are the topline-heavy, dancefloor-ready "Money Makes The World Go Round" and the sparkly "We Own The Night" that is dominated by a soaring and catchy pop chorus.
